Locum Adult Social Care Solicitor

Inside IR35

3-month Contract (Likely Extension)

Full time - 1-2 days per week in the office

Panoramic Associates is currently working with a Local Authority in the North West of England to facilitate the appointment of an experienced Locum Adult Social Care Solicitor to support a busy legal services function, providing specialist advice and casework across adult social care matters with a focus on safeguarding, capacity and statutory compliance.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Provide expert legal advice on adult social care matters to the Council and relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Draft and review legal documentation, policies and reports relevant to adult social care services.
  • Support the management of cases and legal issues relating to safeguarding, capacity and welfare.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to project teams on case strategy and regulatory reviews.
  • Undertake legal research and provide clear interpretation of legislation impacting adult social care.

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Qualified solicitor (or equivalent legal professional) with a current practising certificate.
  • Proven experience within adult social care law (ideally within a Local Authority setting).
  • Strong understanding of social care legislation, safeguarding protocols and associated regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, drafting and legal analysis skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Next Steps:

This role is an initial 3-month contract with likely extension. You will be required to be in the office 1-2 days per week, with the remainder remote.
