BIOMEDICAL SCIENTIST IN BIOCHEMISTRY

Banding: Band 6

Location: Northampton

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Ongoing

Working Pattern: 30 hours a week, Core hours initially during training then night shifts

Hourly Rate: £25-27 Umbrella equivalent via the trust DE model

We are currently seeking a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist specialising in Biochemistry to join our client’s team in Northamptonshire. This is a full-time, ongoing position working core hours and night shifts, offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to contribute to a busy and well-established laboratory service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will perform biochemical analyses including routine chemistry, endocrinology, and toxicology using automated platforms. You will ensure accurate results and maintain quality standards.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • HCPC registration

  • Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent

  • Experience in Biochemistry within a clinical laboratory

  • Experience with automated chemistry analysers

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

  • NHS experience (preferred)
