Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Locum Dentist to join our Bankhouse Dental Care practice in Airdree on a Fixed Term Contract (FTC) basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled clinician who is passionate about delivering outstanding patient care, maintaining high clinical standards, and becoming a valued member of a supportive and collaborative dental team.

The Opportunity

At our practice, we understand that great dentistry is built on strong clinical standards, excellent communication, and a team approach. This FTC Locum Dentist opportunity offers the chance to:

  • Deliver high-quality general dental care to a diverse patient base within a supportive practice environment
  • Carry out comprehensive examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and a wide range of restorative, preventive, and therapeutic treatments
  • Build trusted relationships with patients through clear communication, empathy, and personalised care
  • Work collaboratively with dental nurses, clinicians, and the wider practice team to provide seamless patient journeys
  • Maintain excellent clinical standards while supporting continuity of care for patients
  • Quickly integrate into an established practice and make a positive contribution from day one

This role is ideal for a dentist seeking a flexible fixed-term opportunity, whether you are looking for variety, a new clinical environment, or the opportunity to support a thriving practice.

About You

  • GDC-registered dentist with a valid licence to practise
  • Proven experience delivering general dental treatment within a UK dental practice setting
  • Confident in assessing patients, diagnosing dental conditions, and developing appropriate treatment plans
  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to provide safe, effective, and patient-focused care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with patients and colleagues
  • Knowledge of UK dental regulations, infection prevention and control standards, and clinical governance requirements
  • Organised, reliable, and able to manage a busy patient schedule effectively
  • Comfortable adapting to different practice systems and working independently as a locum clinician
  • Fully compliant with CPD requirements and committed to ongoing professional development
