Locum GP – North Hertfordshire
Background
We are working with a busy GP practice in North Hertfordshire, seeking Locum GP support across a range of ad-hoc dates from late July through to early September, while a new permanent GP prepares to join the team. This is a great opportunity for GPs local to the area or commutable distance looking for flexible sessional work.
The practice is well placed for GPs commuting from Hitchin, Baldock, Stevenage or further afield, with good road links via the A1(M) and mainline rail connections towards London King’s Cross and Cambridge.
There is also scope for further ad-hoc locum work with this practice beyond the dates below, so if you’re based in the North Hertfordshire area, this could be a good chance to build an ongoing relationship with a local practice.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
