About The Role

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Conduct adult and child immunisations including COVID-19, influenza, MMR, pneumonia, RSV, shingles, whooping cough, and other vaccines as per national guidelines.
  • Perform blood tests, ECGs, blood pressure monitoring, and routine physical health assessments.
  • Perform urinalysis testing and act on results as part of routine and chronic disease assessments.
  • Administer injections including B12, Decapeptyl, Nebido, Depo, Inclisiran, and Prostap injections.
  • Provide contraception services including contraceptive pill checks and Depo Provera (contraceptive) injections.
  • Undertake chronic disease management including asthma reviews, COPD reviews, CKD and CHD reviews, diabetes reviews, hypertension reviews, mental health reviews, learning disability reviews, and rheumatoid arthritis management.
  • Conduct new patient medicals and NHS Health Checks.
  • Perform cervical smears, spirometry, and swabs as required.
  • Deliver health promotion including smoking cessation advice, weight and BMI monitoring, and lifestyle support for self-management of chronic conditions.
  • Deliver patient education and support for self-management of chronic conditions.
  • Identify and escalate patient deterioration and safeguarding concerns to appropriate staff.
  • Maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient records in line with professional and practice standards.
