Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Loft Insulation Installer based in Garforth. The Loft Insulation Installer will prepare work areas, assess loft spaces, and install insulation materials in line with company standards and building regulations.

  • Handling and cutting insulation materials
  • Laying insulation to specified depths
  • Sealing gaps
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently

The role also involves:

  • Loading and unloading materials
  • Maintaining tools and equipment
  • Keeping accurate records of completed work

The installer will work closely with site supervisors, follow health and safety procedures, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in construction, insulation installation, or a related trade, with practical skills in using hand and power tools.
  • Understanding of basic building practices, energy efficiency principles, and safe handling of insulation materials.
  • Ability to work at height and in confined loft spaces, with good physical fitness and manual handling capability.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to follow technical instructions, and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Reliable time management, teamwork skills, and clear communication with colleagues and site supervisors.
  • Full UK driving license and access to transport are beneficial for travel to various sites.
  • Previous experience on new build housing sites and familiarity with UK health and safety regulations are an advantage.
  • Relevant construction or trade qualifications (e.g., NVQ or equivalent) are desirable but not essential; on-the-job training may be provided.
