We're seeking a Stores Operative to join our expert team at Northwood. Working within the Logistics Dept , delivering Stores services to meet the contractual requirements of a key MoD contract in Northwood. Step into a role that assists in keeping the UK MoD facilities running. Skanska Building Services is a leader in facilities management, delivering cutting-edge hard and soft FM solutions to prestigious clients across critical sectors.
As a Logistics Operative, you will:
The Stores person will receive, issue and deliver items of stores in a courteous and professional manner. Account for items of stores on the MOD MJDI system. Carry out filing of all auditable documentation as directed by the Line Manager. Maintain appearance and cleanliness of all areas in the Stores Complex. Driving a variety of vehicles within the Stores pool, ranging from cars, lorries, forklifts and Powerflex Sweepers. Complete first daily inspections on all vehicles. Maintain the outward appearance and cleanliness of the Northwood Headquarters. Undertake general duties as directed by your Line Manager to support the Northwood Contract To assist with gritting and snow clearing from roads, pathways and other hard landscaped areas as directed in adverse winter weather conditions.

What you’ll bring to the role:
Proven record of good customer service. A good sound knowledge of stores accounting procedures - ideally MoD MJDI. Forklift Driver licence (highly desirable) Good Health & Safety knowledge and attention to detail.
This role requires a minimum level of security clearance and may also require a higher level of National Security Vetting. You should be aware that certain levels of clearance or specific projects and/or sites have UK residency requirements; and any dual or multiple nationalities must be declared. Any persons who do not fulfil these residency requirements may be unable to obtain the required level of clearance and would not be eligible to undertake this role.
