The Role
Are you an organised and motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same?
At GAP Hire Solutions, we're looking for a proactive and customer-focused Logistics Administrator to join our growing Tanker Services team based at our Glasgow Head Office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy operational environment, has a strong eye for detail, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.
In this role, you'll be at the centre of the operation, supporting the day-to-day coordination of tanker services across the UK. You'll play a key role within the logistics function, helping to ensure work is allocated efficiently, customer requirements are managed professionally, and operational administration is completed accurately and on time.
The position combines administration, customer service, and operational support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and wants to develop a long-term career within a growing and supportive business.
About You
What You'll Be Doing
You'll be responsible for:
- Raising contracts
- Allocating work and queries to the correct planners and depots
- Managing invoice and customer queries
- Completing driver and job compliance checks
- Supporting the wider operational team with accurate reporting and administration

A large part of the role will involve speaking with customers over the phone, providing updates, resolving queries, and always ensuring a professional and positive customer experience. Strong communication skills and a confident telephone manner are therefore essential.
You will also:
- Create and maintain spreadsheets
- Compile operational reports
- Liaise with colleagues across multiple departments to ensure the smooth running of daily operations
What We're Looking for
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work to a high level of accuracy
- The ability to multi-task and work to deadlines
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
- Previous experience and product knowledge in the transport/haulage/waste industry is highly advantageous
