Logistics and Business Administration Apprentice
The apprentice will play a key role in ensuring the business meets its key goals and targets by providing general administrative support to Operations, Logistics, and Business Support Teams. This role will be predominantly supporting the logistics department.
Requirements
- Desirable qualifications:
- GCSE in English (grade 4/C or above)
- GCSE in Maths (grade 4/C or above)

- Ability to write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data using MS Office or equivalent.
- Ability to update and review databases, record information, and produce data analysis.
- Ability to draft correspondence, write reports, and review others' work.
- Ability to maintain records and files, and handle confidential information in compliance with procedures.
- Ability to exercise proactivity and good judgment, making effective decisions.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships within their own team and across the organisation.
- Ability to communicate effectively face-to-face, on the telephone, in writing, or on digital platforms.
- Ability to complete tasks to a high standard and apply problem-solving skills.
- Ability to take responsibility for initiating and completing tasks, managing priorities and time to meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage resources (e.g., equipment, facilities).
- Ability to organise meetings and events, take minutes, and create action logs.
- Ability to take responsibility for logistics (e.g., travel, accommodation).
- Ability to use relevant project management principles and tools.

Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to ensure efficient office operations.
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence (emails, phone calls, mail, etc.).
- Maintain and update company records, databases, and filing systems (both digital and physical).
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
- Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports or presentations.
- Order and maintain office supplies and equipment; liaise with suppliers as needed.
- Support team members with administrative tasks and project coordination.
- Handle data entry and maintain accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.
- Greet visitors and provide general support to clients and staff.
- Make phone calls and provide excellent customer service.

- Salary: £16,640 for the first year (potential increase based on age).
- National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices: Between £7.55 & £8.50 (depending on candidate and experience).

Training Details
- Course: Business administrator (level 3)
- Duration: 1 year 6 months
- Hours: Monday - Thursday, 8:30am - 5:00pm (30 minutes lunch). Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm (30 minutes lunch).
- Total Weekly Hours: 40 hours
- Start Date: Tuesday 2 June 2026
- Training Schedule: Includes 9 online workshops monthly, self-study tasks, and 1-2-1 tutor meetings every 6-8 weeks.
- Functional Skills: May be required.
- Learning Outcomes: Skilled use of IT packages, producing accurate records, proactivity and good judgment, building positive relationships, good communication skills, completing tasks to a high standard, taking responsibility, and using project management principles.
