Description of Department or aims of Department
Provide an effective reactive maintenance and compliance response on behalf of the Logistics and Facilities Centre. The work involves close liaison with the wider Facilities and Estates teams, Service Delivery and Compliance Managers, Campus Service Teams, alongside all Facilities and Estates staff, other university stakeholders, and contractors. The post holder will also support logistics, cleaning, and emergency response functions during peak operational periods.

Accountabilities And Responsibilities
- Timely collection and distribution of linen to ensure smooth transitions between student departures and incoming conference guests.
- Swift removal and delivery of furniture and white goods to minimise student complaints and enhance new arrivals' experiences.
- Emergency response to floods and maintenance issues to minimise disruption and ensure a safe living environment.
- Responsible for flushing outlets across the campus and student residence buildings to comply with the Legionella flushing regime and Health and Safety standards. The number and frequency may vary, as dictated by requirement and the off-peak season.
- Complete COSHH and manual handling training to maintain compliance with Health & Safety policies.
- Report any defects noticed (plumbing, electrical, building repairs, etc.) in a timely manner.
- Inform management when equipment and parts require replenishment.
- Adhere to Health & Safety Risk Assessments.
- Adhere to recommended methods of safe working.
- Adhere to the Customer Services Peak Period of Working procedure (there will be a need to restrict holiday requests during peak periods).
- Adhere to the Reporting Absence procedure.
- Wear a uniform including PPE where applicable.
- Attend regular Manual Handling training according to H&S guidelines.
- Full clean manual driving licence is desirable.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required and commensurate with the grade of post in accordance with university and departmental policies, procedures and codes of conduct.
