The Role
This is a contract role within Saab’s Training and Simulation division.
The Logistics and Training Adviser (LTA) provides administrative and logistical support for field exercises and equipment training to users. Key responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities
Core Duties
- Support DFWES exercises in the UK and overseas as part of:
- A two-person team (reporting to the Analyst):
- Administer Issue and Train & Receipt processes.
- Troubleshoot equipment and manage battery resupply.
- Set up After-Action Review (AAR) sessions.
- Manage Saab Field Team (FT) administration.
- Liaise with exercise-conducting staff.
- A larger team, reporting to a Lead LTA, including:
- Logistical planning and support for deployed FT (as directed).
- Logistical planning for users (as required).
- Attending exercise recces as directed.
- Delivering pre-deployment capability briefings.
- Coordinating with Lead LTA, UK DTES System Technical Lead (Sys Tech), and Saab Support Managers.
- Conducting ‘TES Fitness’ training sessions with exercising troops.
- Producing daily reports for Support Managers.
- Capturing logistics PXR (Post-Exercise Report) points and passing to the Analyst (or Lead/Senior Analyst).
- A two-person team (reporting to the Analyst):
Auxiliary Roles
- Assist with:
- Erecting and maintaining the PBS communication system (if required).
- Fitting vehicle kits and crew-served weapons.
- Provide support to:
- Other Saab teams on exercises.
- Site operations as needed.
- Continuation training (as required).
- Training and mentoring of new LTAs on the Field Team.
- Ensure Health and Safety (H&S) and security compliance within the team.

Other Responsibilities (Optional)
- Step into a Lead LTA role or temporary Analyst role (with relevant training).
- Attend UK/overseas training (e.g., CONDO/Driving Training).
- Support Saab marketing activities (as required).
Qualifications and Skills
Essential Requirements
- Recent military operational experience.
- Understanding of:
- BG Combined Arms (G4) doctrine.
- Defence Command Concepts (DCC) tactics (to Training Level ECHO).
- Valid UK Driving Licence (B+E).
- Valid UK Passport (current).
- Ability to pass:
- CONDO medical.
Security Vetting
