Logistics Coordinator (Aggregates)

Keep Critical Projects Moving

Are you energised by a fast-moving environment where no two days are the same? Do you thrive under pressure, enjoy solving problems in real time, and take pride in delivering exceptional service?

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our Aggregates team. This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and cost-effective transportation of aggregates including sand, gravel, and crushed stone to customers and project sites.

As the central link between drivers, suppliers, customers, and operational teams, you'll play a key role in keeping construction and infrastructure projects running on time and on budget.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Coordinate Deliveries with Precision
    • Schedule and manage aggregate deliveries to meet customer requirements and project deadlines.
    • Ensure the right materials are delivered to the right place at the right time.
    • Monitor daily transport activities and adjust plans as required.

  • Solve Problems in Real Time

    • Respond quickly to unexpected challenges such as vehicle breakdowns, route changes, weather disruptions, or material shortages.
    • Implement contingency plans to minimise delays and maintain service levels.
    • Make informed decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Optimise Logistics Performance

    • Maximise vehicle utilisation and load efficiency.
    • Plan and adjust routes to improve operational performance and reduce costs.
    • Continuously identify opportunities to improve service delivery and productivity.
  • Be the Communication Hub

    • Act as the primary point of contact for drivers, suppliers, site teams, and customers.
    • Provide clear updates on delivery schedules and operational changes.
    • Build strong working relationships across the business and external partners.
  • Ensure Compliance and Safety

    • Support adherence to transport legislation, company policies, and industry regulations.
    • Maintain accurate records and operational data.
    • Promote safe and environmentally responsible transport practices.
