Logistics Coordinator (FTC)

We are hiring for a Logistics Coordinator who will assist the Logistics Team Leader on a day-to-day basis with preparation of daily documentation for daily despatches. In addition to this, there will be day to day planning activities at Works Order, Sales Order, and Purchase Order level.

Training will be provided on the specific logistics responsibilities for the role.

Duties include:

  • Extract and manipulate data from our systems to provide our stakeholders with up-to-date information on the progress of Sales Order despatches.
  • Liaise with suppliers/Freight Forwarders/Couriers to prepare documentation for import declarations and keep track of BOL, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists etc.
  • Prepare instructions for customs declarations to send to freight forwarders and their agents to declare relevant Tariffs, Values etc.
  • Follow up and keep record of customs entries and checking against correct values in line with HMRC Import / Export compliance, including keeping the business compliant with all regulatory requirements.
  • Create and update Shipping and On Time in Full (OTIF) reports.
  • Liaise with external transport companies to ensure accurate delivery times to all sites and keeping relevant internal stakeholders updated throughout.
  • Update procedures and create training documents for shipping.
  • Assist with day-to-day activities in shipping / logistics.
  • Monthly Cycle Counting of Finished Goods.

The Logistics Coordinator will have:

  • 5 GCSEs grades C or above including Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • Two years’ experience within a specialised administrative role.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages and in particular Excel.
  • Experience of using an ERP/MRP system.
  • Import experience.

It is highly desirable for candidates to have two years’ experience with logistics.

This is a fixed term contract position for 12 months (with possibility of extension) based at our Belfast headquarters full time onsite.
