Role Overview
Job Title: Logistics Coordinator Location: Polar Speed Distribution Ltd, 648 River Gardens, Feltham, TW14 0RB Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 0830 – 1730 (40 hours per week) Contract Type: Permanent
Responsibilities
- Driver & Sub-contractor Coordination
- Daily monitoring and collaboration with company drivers and sub-contractors.
- Build strong working relationships across internal departments.

Customer & Operational Support
- Assist with special requirements and escalation to the customer service team.
- Manage operational telephone calls efficiently.

Reporting & Compliance
- Compile detailed daily reports highlighting transport issues within the network.
- Verify temperature compliance via journey ticket review for refrigerated cargo.

Driver Management
- Conduct pre-trip briefing/debriefing sessions to align expectations.
- Periodically monitor driver vehicles for safety standards.

Administrative Tasks
- Centralise fuel consumption and wage information.
- Finalise routes on Polar Track (in-house database system).
- Report vehicle/equipment defects (e.g., fridges) to the fleet manager.

Driver Continuity
- Cover ad-hoc sick callouts or train new driver recruits.
