Logistics Coordinator
Logistics Coordinator – Royal Navy Site Redevelopment
KierBAM (Joint Venture between Kier and BAM Nuttall)
About the Role
KierBAM are delivering the redevelopment of a sensitive Royal Navy site in Plymouth and we are seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to manage vehicle movements, compliance, and supply chain operations.
Due to the site’s nature, the following clearance and eligibility are mandatory:
- BPSS security clearance (processing can take up to 8 weeks)
- Candidates must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past 5 years
Responsibilities
In this role, you will work within a live MOD facility, ensuring seamless logistics while maintaining compliance and safety. Key tasks include:

Vehicle Management System (VMS):
- Assist with the implementation of VMS across the supply chain and project
- Oversee vehicle booking and approvals, adhering to access restrictions and timelines

Reporting & Compliance:
- Produce and present reports and data on VMS effectiveness and compliance
- Collaborate with teams to identify and mitigate logistical challenges

Liaison & Coordination:
- Maintain communication with supply chain teams, operators, and clients on logistical and traffic matters
- Work cross-functionally to manage vehicle movements and delivery forecasts
- Attend site forums and meetings to coordinate movements and restrictions

Efficiency & Compliance:
- Set a high standard in health, safety, environmental, and logistical compliance
- Promote cost-conscious resource management through efficiency
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients, construction teams, and stakeholders

Site Operations:
- Coordinate deliveries to ensure minimal disruption and adherence to restricted slots
- Manage unloading/loading methods and ensure smooth movement to final destinations

Requirements
Candidates should hold:
- Qualifications: Minimum HNC level, graduate, or equivalent (preferred)
- Experience: Proven in logistics management and administration
- Technical Knowledge:
- Expertise in logistic procedures, traffic, and driver workflows
- Confident proficiency in Microsoft Office for data compilation and reporting
- Certifications: CSCS Card (Blue or Green)
