A large manufacturing company based on the outskirts of Diss, Norfolk are looking to recruit for a Logistics Coordinator to join their team on a permanent basis.

Overview Of The Role

You will be reporting into the Distribution Manager, whilst ensuring that the products are distributed in a timely manner across the UK and beyond.

What does the role involve?

As a Logistics Coordinator you will be required to:

  • Plan and arrange shipments to ensure the most cost-effective result is completed based on the customer delivery requirements
  • Prepare documentation to allow shipments to take place
  • Liaise with the sales department internally to obtain quotes and ensure the best transport routes are followed
  • Speak with customers and teams internally regarding the despatch of customer orders
  • Work closely with the packaging department to ensure the most efficient packing methods
  • Promote and set high standards for health & safety across the site
  • Provide support to the distribution manager where required, such as administration duties

Applicant Requirements

  • Experience working within a logistics environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good administrative skills and high attention to detail
  • Proficient user of all MS programs including Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Ability to work well individually and as part of a wider team
