About Yorkshire Water
We’re looking for a passionate Logistics Coordinator to join our Asset Maintenance team at Yorkshire Water and contribute to delivering exceptional service to over 5.4 million people across the region. We manage essential water and wastewater services whilst protecting the environment and supporting communities 24/7, 365 days a year.
Location & Work Type
- Based: Foxbridge Logistics Centre (Normanton)
- Work Pattern: Permanent, 37 hours/week (Monday–Friday, 5 days/week)

About the Role
Responsibilities
The Logistics Coordinator will:
- Manage lifting & scaffolding requests across Yorkshire, prioritising operational demand, financial constraints, and customer needs.
- Coordinate internal heavy-lift fleets, external crane hires, and scaffolding suppliers while ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Scheduling, Delivery, Service Desk) and external contractors to align resources effectively.
- Drive operational cost savings by optimising fleet performance, reducing fuel emissions, and improving workflow efficiency.
- Validate supplier invoices via SAP Ariba, maintaining financial compliance and processing payments.
- Monitor performance with reports on lifting activity, project costs, and Fleet-wide efficiency.
- Proactively solve logistical challenges—including adapting to unforeseen demand—and support wider Logistics functions when needed.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Essential
- UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
- Strong stakeholder communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities in a dynamic environment
- Financial awareness: experience with invoice validation, supplier relations, and cost control
- Proficient in Microsoft Office + advanced Excel for data analysis
- Self-motivation, initiative, and ability to work independently
- Commitment to health, safety, and environment (HSE) principles
- Alignment with Yorkshire Water’s core values
Beneficial
- Previous experience in logistics, fleet management, utilities, or operational coordination
- Contractor/client coordination or managing specialised services (cranes, plant hire)
- Familiarity with SAP or SAP Ariba workflows
- Regional knowledge of Yorkshire’s infrastructure
- Demonstrated business targets improvement in previous roles
