Logistics Driver/Fitter -Swindon (Ref:CRH266)

Job title: Logistics Driver / Fitter

Department: Transport and Logistics

Reporting to: Logistics Manager

Location: Swindon

Contract type: Permanent

Hours of work: 40 hours per week - Monday - Friday, 5am - 1.30pm (pending any additional overtime due to traffic).

Salary: £31,699.20 per annum

This role is based at Logistics in Swindon but requires mobile cover in any of the regions within the Clearsprings Group. You will be delivering and installing white goods, inventory, and furnishings to properties.

You will report directly into the team leader and will be given your job sheet daily which needs to be completed in an efficient manner. You will come into contact with Housing Officers and at times Service Users and should always maintain a professional image of the business.

Procedures

  • Liaising with Housing Officers to ensure deliveries are done on time.
  • Notify the team leader immediately if you see anything which could be considered dangerous within the property.
  • To deliver, assemble (as necessary), and install all goods in accordance with the company’s internal procedures.
  • Ensure that you leave all properties safe and clean.

Connect and Collaborate

  • Work closely with your line manager and team members
  • Collaborate with others, attending meetings as required
  • Supporting team members and provide on-the-job training
  • Provide cover for other staff as agreed by line manager
  • Regular liaison with Housing Officers

Responsive

  • Keep up to date with all written and verbal communications (i.e. emails/messages/calls)
  • Ensure all records are maintained and kept up to date according to company policies and procedures
  • Ensure list of jobs are completed to a high standard
  • Notify the team leader on site if you are unable to complete any jobs you’re requested to do.
  • Have responsibility for all company equipment where applicable

Professional

  • Maintain a good understanding of the legislation of the contract
  • Ensure completed jobs are communicated back to management
  • Document and feedback non completed defects to management
  • No discretion to deviate from the company’s internal procedures without specific authority from the team leader or in his/her absence the Transport/Logistics Manager.
  • To return completed paperwork to the team leader as directed and requested.
  • Provide cover for line manager during annual leave, dealing with emails
  • Have the capability and understanding of using emails etc & CCMS to acknowledge dispersals when they come through
