This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for driving logistics performance, cost optimisation, supplier management, and operational excellence across warehousing, transport, and third-party logistics providers.

This role would suit an ambitious logistics professional who thrives on improving performance, introducing structure, managing key supplier relationships, and delivering tangible business improvements. You'll have the opportunity to shape the logistics function, influence strategic decisions, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop reporting and KPI frameworks to improve visibility of logistics performance, costs, and service delivery.
  • Ensure robust inventory control processes are in place to maintain stock accuracy and operational integrity.
  • Drive health, safety, and compliance standards across logistics operations, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Act as the escalation point for operational challenges, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with supply chain, production, customer service, and commercial teams to support wider business objectives.
  • Lead and develop logistics personnel and service providers, creating a high-performing and engaged logistics operation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
