Job Title: Logistics Manager

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to lead the end-to-end logistics function across JW ANDERSON. You will own the development, execution, and continuous improvement of logistics processes, ensuring the efficient movement of raw materials and finished goods across all storage and distribution channels.

Working closely with internal teams and external logistics partners, you will ensure operational excellence, cost efficiency, inventory accuracy, and exceptional service across wholesale, retail, ecommerce, and intercompany channels. This is a hands-on role requiring strong operational expertise, commercial awareness, and the ability to support a growing international business.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics Operations

  • Lead all inbound and outbound logistics activities across the business.
  • Manage the end-to-end logistics critical path from supplier to customer.
  • Oversee the performance of third-party logistics (3PL) partners, ensuring service levels and KPIs are consistently achieved.
  • Coordinate inbound shipments of raw materials and finished goods from UK, EU, and global suppliers.
  • Oversee outbound distribution across wholesale, retail, ecommerce, and intercompany channels.
  • Manage inventory movements between warehouses, stores, and distribution channels.
  • Drive continuous improvement in logistics performance, cost, productivity, and service.

Inbound Logistics

  • Coordinate inbound deliveries with Production, freight forwarders, and 3PL partners.
  • Arrange raw material movements between suppliers and factories.
  • Track inbound shipments through to warehouse receipt.
  • Ensure Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs) and stock receipts are processed accurately and within agreed KPIs.
  • Plan warehouse capacity and inbound schedules with distribution partners.
  • Manage ecommerce, retail, and wholesale returns, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.

Outbound Logistics

  • Manage order allocation, fulfilment, and delivery across all sales channels.
  • Monitor seasonal delivery windows and proactively resolve shipment issues.
  • Support wholesale and ecommerce teams with delivery queries and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate specialist shipments, including Home & Garden and other high-value products using specialist logistics providers.
  • Review and monitor open order status and fulfilment performance.

  • Own global inventory accuracy across all warehouse and retail locations.
  • Monitor daily stock reports and investigate discrepancies.
  • Coordinate annual stocktakes and inventory reconciliations.
  • Manage stock transfers between warehouses, stores, and systems.
  • Ensure seasonal inventory adjustments are accurately reflected across business systems.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Produce regular reporting to support operational and commercial decision-making, including:
    • Seasonal delivery progress
    • Inbound and outbound performance
    • Inventory reporting and reconciliation
    • 3PL KPI performance
    • Courier, freight, and warehousing costs
    • Packaging and consumables inventory
    • Returns reporting
    • Distribution performance and forecasting
    • Finance month-end and year-end reporting
  • Analyse logistics data to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, service, and cost control.

Freight, Customs & Compliance

  • Manage relationships with freight forwarders, courier providers, and customs brokers.
  • Coordinate international transportation, customs clearance, and import/export activities.
  • Ensure compliance with UK and international trade regulations.
  • Manage export documentation including ATA Carnets, CITES, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal teams with logistics and customs knowledge and training.

Systems & Continuous Improvement

  • Support logistics-related projects including warehouse implementations, new retail stores, ecommerce integrations, and system enhancements.
  • Maintain logistics processes within ERP and warehouse management systems including RLM, Cegid, and 3PL integrations.
  • Identify system improvements and resolve operational issues.
  • Ensure logistics processes are documented, communicated, and consistently followed.

Seasonal Planning

  • Working closely with Production, Sales, and Operations teams, you will:
    • Support seasonal forecasting and warehouse capacity planning.
    • Maintain product master data and customs information.
    • Ensure all import/export documentation is completed ahead of delivery windows.
    • Coordinate customer shipping requirements with distribution partners.

Compliance & Certification

  • Ensure logistics activities remain fully compliant with relevant UK and international regulations, supporting certification requirements including:
    • CITES
    • EAC
    • China Cotton and China Testing
    • Long Term Declarations
    • IFI documentation
    • Food Contact testing
    • Drop Ball testing
    • Showroom
  • Coordinate the international movement of collections for showroom activities, including temporary exports and imports, ATA Carnets, and specialist transportation.

Skills & Experience

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in supply chain and logistics management.
  • Proven experience managing international logistics within a luxury fashion, retail, or premium consumer goods environment.
  • Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, customs procedures, and international freight.
  • Experience managing 3PL providers, freight forwarders, and courier networks.
  • Excellent analytical skills with advanced Microsoft Excel capability.
  • Experience with ERP and warehouse management systems (RLM and Cegid experience advantageous).
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing logistics budgets and KPIs.
  • Demonstrated success delivering operational improvements and managing change.
  • Excellent English.
