Logistics Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Manager to join our operations Team at our brand-new, state-of-the-art, manufacturing facility in Basingstoke.
The Role:
As Logistics Manager, you will manage the day-to-day activities of the logistic department.
Key Duties:
- Leading and managing the day-to-day activities of logistics team, including workload planning, performance management and development.
- Setting, monitoring and reviewing team KPIs, such as OTIF, freight costs and shipment performance.
- Collaborating with Customer Service team on order status.
- Ensuring timely date management of customer orders and schedules of shipments
- Providing a hands-on approach to support shipments as required.
- Acting as the company lead for customs regulations, import/export compliance and trade compliance.
- Maintaining strong working knowledge of Customs Tariff classifications and import/export procedures.
- Developing and maintaining group trade compliance policies and procedures.
- Ensuring shipping documentation, customs records and logistics processes are accurate and compliant.
- Identifying and implementing processes to improve efficiency and customer service levels.
- Ensuring efficient and cost-effective distribution and movement of goods.
- Coordinating freight movements and managing relationships with freight forwarders, carriers and logistics providers.
- Working cross-functionally with Planning, Purchasing, Production, Stores and to support customer order and operational priorities.

Essential Skills
- Professional accreditation in customs, trade compliance, shipping or logistic
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Experience in shipping management
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Self-starter with the ability to drive projects
- Commercially aware and able to work cross-functionally.
- Good interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
