Readypower Rail Services is looking for a Logistics Manager to support our operations. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based from our Nottingham Depot.
The ideal candidate will work in a team environment managing the delivery of rail and construction plant services to customers. They will ensure aspects of service delivery in their charge are executed from planning, delivery and completion stages successfully.
The Role
- Manage the end-to-end logistics process for all plant hire activities, including scheduling, mobilisation and transportation.
- Coordinate fleet movements to and from work sites, ensuring timely delivery aligned with the customers’ requests.
- Liaise with the Transport Manager to plan vehicle inspections.
- Liaise and plan any plant and equipment deliveries and collections with the customers (arranging meet and greets).
- Inform in due time, the agreed meet and greet arrangements with transport personnel.
- Prepare reports for internal meetings.
- Complete any documentation required accurately and in a timely manner.
- Be part of an on-call rota.

Requirements
- Good knowledge of drivers’ working hours legislation, tachograph procedures and other legal driving obligations.
- Good knowledge of RRVs and railway knowledge is desirable.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft 365 package.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, operational environment.
