We are currently seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to join our project team in Blyth, United Kingdom. This role will be responsible for managing all logistics operations on site, ensuring the efficient coordination of deliveries, materials handling, site access, and storage in line with project programme and safety requirements.

Requirements

  • Lead and manage all site logistics activities across the project lifecycle
  • Develop and implement site logistics plans in line with project requirements
  • Coordinate deliveries, material handling, and site movements to ensure efficiency and minimal disruption
  • Manage site access, traffic management, and security in line with health & safety standards
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Package Managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to align logistics with the project programme
  • Monitor and control storage areas, ensuring materials are stored safely and efficiently
  • Manage logistics subcontractors, including performance tracking and coordination meetings
  • Ensure all logistics documentation, permits, and safety records are maintained and up to date
  • Attend Site Meetings, Planning Meetings, and Logistics Coordination Meetings
  • Identify and mitigate logistical risks, including congestion, delays, and site constraints
  • Support the project team in maintaining a safe and organised working environment
  • Prepare and issue logistics reports to the project team and senior management
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and health & safety regulations
  • Proactively identify and resolve logistics and coordination issues on site

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or similar discipline
  • Minimum 5 - 7 years' experience in a logistics role within construction or engineering
  • Strong experience managing site logistics on large-scale construction projects
  • Knowledge of traffic management, material handling, and site coordination practices
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced site environment
  • Strong understanding of health & safety requirements related to site logistics
  • Data centre, industrial, or mission-critical project experience is advantageous
