Logistics Manager - Carrier Management

Carrier Management Team Leader – TJX Europe

About the Role

Reporting to the Manager of Logistics (Carrier Management), this senior leadership role drives Carrier Management strategy by leading a team dedicated to creating, maintaining, and optimising logistics service schedules. Your work delivers efficient and reliable service, supporting operational continuity while aligning with business priorities, carrier capacity, and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities include engagement and expertise in planning, collaboration, compliance, performance optimization, and team leadership.


Key Responsibilities

Schedule Development & Maintenance

  • Lead the creation, consistent maintenance, and updates of logistics service schedules, ensuring alignment with:
    • Operational changes
    • Capacity constraints
    • Seasonal demand
  • Ensure accurate documentation and version control for governance and audit purposes.

Coordination & Communication

  • Collaborate across internal teams (Finance, Global Sourcing & Procurement) and carriers to:
    • Confirm service requirements
    • Communicate schedule changes
  • Be the primary point of contact for scheduling queries, issue resolution, and cross-functional communication.

Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure schedules adhere to TJX Europe operational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain records for audit and reporting.

Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor schedule adherence, analyse performance data, and drive recommendations to improve:
    • Efficiency
    • Accuracy
    • Service reliability
  • Lead the implementation of tools, processes, and insights to:
    • Optimise scheduling
    • Reduce delay risks

Risk Management

  • Proactively identify scheduling risks and develop contingency plans.
  • Partner with carriers to ensure operational resilience during disruptions.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, develop, and support a high-performing team by:
    • Aligning objectives with the Carrier Management strategy
    • Managing performance and fostering career growth
    • Promoting a culture of trust, transparency, and collaboration
    • Working with Logistics Management to deliver business priorities

Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with:
    • Ability to foster cooperation across internal teams and external suppliers.
    • Exceptional communication and conflict resolution.
  • Analytical and problem-solving expertise, using data-driven insights to:
    • Identify bottlenecks
    • Implement improvements
  • High attention to detail, paired with a proactive mindset.
  • Organisational and leadership strengths with hands-on experience in fast-paced environments.
  • Proven success in process optimization and scale-effective operations.
