About the Role
Job Title: Carrier Management Team Lead
Reporting to the Manager of Logistics, this pivotal role drives the implementation of our Carrier Management Strategy, overseeing a team responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimising logistics service schedules to ensure efficient, reliable, and consistent service delivery. As a senior leader, you’ll play a vital role in operational continuity by aligning schedules with business priorities, carrier capacity, and compliance demands—demanding eminent leadership, strategic planning, meticulous attention to detail, and strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule Development & Maintenance
- ✅ Lead the creation, refinement, and timely updates of logistics service schedules to reflect real-time operational changes, capacity constraints, and seasonal demand fluctuations.
- ✅ Ensure accurate documentation and rigorous version control to meet governance and audit compliance requirements.

Coordination & Communication
- ✅ Collaborate with carrier partners, Logistics teams, Finance, and Global Sourcing & Procurement to validate service requirements and communicate schedule changes efficiently.
- ✅ Act as the primary point of contact for scheduling inquiries, issue resolution, and stakeholder engagements.
Compliance & Standards
- ✅ Uphold alignment with TJX Europe’s operational standards and regulatory frameworks, keeping precise records for reporting and auditing purposes.
Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
- ✅ Monitor schedule adherence, analyse performance data, and provide objective recommendations to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and service reliability.
- ✅ Advocate for data-driven optimisation of scheduling tools, processes, and insights to reduce delays and downtime.
Risk Management
- ✅ Proactively identify scheduling vulnerabilities and develop contingency plans to ensure minimal disruption during logistical disruptions.
- ✅ Work closely with carriers to maintain operational resilience amidst dynamic market conditions.
Team Leadership
- ✅ Lead, mentor, and support a high-performing team by setting clear, strategic objectives aligned with the Carrier Management Strategy.
- ✅ Foster a culture of trust, transparent communication, and continuous employee development, in partnership with Logistics Management to deliver people-centric operational goals.
