Job Introduction

Join Our Team in Birmingham as a Logistics Manager

We’re looking for an organised and proactive Logistics Manager to oversee all transport operations within the depot, ensuring every delivery and collection is completed safely, efficiently and on time.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the depot’s transport function, leading our team of Drivers and Branch Assistants, and ensuring full compliance with legal, company and Health & Safety standards. You’ll also provide operational support to the Branch Manager and deputise during periods of absence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and manage the Driver and Branch Assistant team, supporting their development and performance.
  • Plan and coordinate daily transport operations, ensuring deliveries and collections are completed safely, efficiently and in line with company KPIs.
  • Ensure full compliance with transport legislation, company procedures and Health & Safety standards.
  • Liaise with customers to provide updates on deliveries, collections and any changes to schedules.
  • Support the Branch Manager in resolving customer queries and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Drive transport efficiency, supporting branch profitability through effective planning and resource management.
  • Monitor vehicle inspections, defect reporting and repairs, working closely with third-party suppliers to minimise downtime.
  • Ensure driver compliance by monitoring training, tachograph downloads, infringements and debrief processes.
  • Review driver administration, ensuring delivery photographs, signatures and documentation are completed accurately.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training and performance reviews for the logistics team.
  • Carry out additional duties where required to support the smooth running of the branch.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
