What You Will Be Doing:
As our Logistics Manager, you’ll lead the full logistics function on site, ensuring everything runs safely, smoothly, and on programme. Your responsibilities will include:
Developing and implementing the full site logistics plan, from access routes and laydown areas to hoists, cranes, and welfare facilities. Managing site setup and mobilisation, including signage, temporary infrastructure, and security arrangements. Coordinating all deliveries and collections through digital booking systems (e.g., Datascope, Chime), ensuring alignment with the construction schedule. Overseeing traffic management, vehicle movements, and road cleanliness to maintain a safe, compliant site. Managing waste removal and segregation, ensuring environmental standards are met. Leading and supervising logistics teams, including hoist drivers, traffic marshals, and general labour. Collaborating with planners, commercial teams, and site management to support construction activities. Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, inspections, collections, and incidents. Delivering daily briefings, toolbox talks, and logistics team coordination meetings. Ensuring full compliance with CPP, EMP, TMP, RAMS, and site-wide safety procedures. Responding to emergency situations effectively and professionally. Driving continuous improvement, exploring smarter, leaner, and more digital approaches to site logistics.

Essential
What you will bring:
✔ SSSTS or SMSTS certification
✔ First Aid at Work
✔ CSCS (Black or Gold)
✔ 3–5 years’ experience in construction logistics management
✔ Strong organisational and planning skills
✔ Excellent communication and team leadership abilities
✔ Familiarity with digital delivery booking systems (e.g., Datascope)
Desirable
CPCS card (e.g., Traffic Marshal, Hoist Operator) NVQ Level 3/4 in Logistics or Construction Site Supervision Membership of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Experience with lean logistics or digital site tools Temporary Works Supervisor awareness
