Logistics & Material Coordinator

Job Type: Fixed Term Contract 3 - 6 months

Location: Peterhead

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 0700 - 1600

Reporting to the Service Delivery Coordinator, the Logistics and Material Controller is responsible for coordinating all onshore and offshore cargo movements and managing materials from receipt to dispatch. This includes inventory control, stock management, and bagging/tagging in line with Equinor and ASCO policies, procedures, work instructions, and agreed service levels. The role acts as a key link between offshore installations, vendors, and support teams to ensure efficient operation. Key duties include: Lead and manage materials control, ensuring accurate inventory management, bagging and tagging, and the timely shipment of materials. Establish and maintain strong working relationships with client representatives, colleagues, and vendors. Ensure all logistics activities comply with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. Act as a client focal point for material-related requests, ensuring quick and accurate responses to inquiries. Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and implement efficiencies in material control. Maintain an effective communication structure, empowering team members to complete tasks on time and to the required standard. Deputise for the Team Leader or Service Delivery Coordinator in their absence. Manage internal and external stock audits. Liaise with vendors regarding material delivery bookings and ensure compliance with HM Revenue & Customs regulations. Create and process all SAP documents, including consignment notes, and resolve any discrepancies. Maintain and update inbound/outbound cargo lists daily, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements. Manage client expectations and relationships, ensuring service delivery meets or exceeds client requirements. Liaise daily with client representatives, both on and offshore, including attending meetings and toolbox talks.

Minimum Competencies (Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours) Strong communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships. Effective negotiation skills with the ability to influence and challenge at all levels. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet changing deadlines. Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and accountability. IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and warehousing / inventory management IT systems such as SAP. Awareness of HM Revenue & Customs End Use and FCG regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

UK Driving License Current Forklift License Dangerous Goods by Road, Air, and Sea

Desirable Qualifications/Competencies

Experience in Hook-Up operations, bagging & tagging OGUK Mod1 General Cargo Handling OGUK Mod2 Transportation of Dangerous Goods
