Role Description

The Logistics Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in London, responsible for coordinating the end-to-end movement and storage of chemical products. Day-to-day activities include:

  • Planning shipments
  • Managing transport schedules
  • Ensuring accurate documentation in line with safety and regulatory requirements

The role oversees inventory levels, monitors warehouse operations, and works closely with internal teams and external partners to maintain timely, cost-effective deliveries. The Logistics Officer tracks orders, resolves logistical issues, updates systems and records, and prepares routine reports on stock, shipping performance, and costs. This position also supports process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and strengthen overall supply chain reliability.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess skills in Logistics Management and Supply Chain Management, including coordination of shipments, transport planning, and end-to-end process oversight.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Inventory Control, such as stock monitoring, reconciliation, and maintaining optimal inventory levels.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Warehouse Operations, including goods handling, storage practices, and collaboration with warehouse teams.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Administration, such as documentation management, data entry, record-keeping, and report preparation.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a degree or diploma in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field are beneficial.
  • Experience in chemical distribution, industrial logistics, or a regulated supply chain environment is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with logistics or ERP software are desired.
  • Effective communication, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively on-site in London are essential.
