We are recruiting for a Logistics Operations Coordinator to join an established and forward-thinking logistics company in St Albans.
This role would suit an individual who is passionate, ambitious and wishes to develop a career in international logistics, while working for a financially strong and stable company.
What’s in it for you?

Key Responsibilities
Organising the movement of cargo across Europe and the UK Communicating accurately complex instructions to both Customers and Suppliers Providing the highest standards of Customer service Planning and communicating routes to the fleet of drivers Minimising ‘off route’ mileage to maximise operational efficiency Monitoring drivers’ duty and driving time to ensure compliance is correctly followed Processing Customer orders through use of the in-house operating system with an emphasis on attention to detail Compiling customs documentation to facilitate shipment freight into Europe Building strong relationships with clients, principally through verbal engagement Quoting transport rates to customers to gain orders Communicating with colleagues in different departments to ensure internal procedures are followed correctly Allocation of available resources (trucks, drivers, trailers) to meet clients demands

Experience of logistics and supply chain management, either from working with a manufacturer, transport company or freight forwarder Proficient using Excel Problem solving and the ability to manage multiple complex tasks at the same time Excellent communication skills (Written & Verbal) A professional, positive and helpful attitude Commercial acumen Attention to detail Manage deadlines Presentable, energetic and enthusiastic
