About Despatch Network Logistics

Despatch Network Logistics is a growing UK logistics company operating across parcel delivery, last-mile, middle-mile, driver management, route operations, and contract logistics.

We are seeking a motivated and capable individual to join our leadership team, taking responsibility for daily operations, system improvements, new contracts, and company growth. This role offers significant opportunity and independence for someone eager to develop their career while steering the business forward.

The Role: Logistics Operations & Growth Manager

This is an essential appointment for a highly driven, commercially minded individual equipped to balance operational execution and strategic growth. The successful candidate will:

  • Collaborate directly with the Company Director to oversee logistics and commercial expansion across our core service areas.
  • Manage daily logistics activity, optimise route performance, and input into broader company strategy.
  • Support new customer relationships, deliver unparalleled service, and adapt to emerging opportunities.
  • A long-term leadership opportunity, this role requires real ownership from day one—meaning both accountability and the authority to implement change.

Key Responsibilities

Core operational and strategic focus includes:

  • Operational Management

    • Oversee daily logistics operations and optimise route performance for efficiency.
    • Monitor service levels, attendance, costs, and delivery accuracy.
  • Team & People Leadership

    • Recruit, onboard, and manage a growing team of drivers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
    • Foster a culture of accountability and collaboration across depots.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
