Role Overview
Alloyed is seeking a dedicated, hands-on Logistics Operative to join our team and support our operations in Yarnton.
As a Logistics Operative, you will play a crucial role in delivering high tech components to our customers in an agile way, to meet the deadlines on our projects. Your primary responsibilities will involve receiving deliveries, packing, dispatching and tracking shipments, as well as ensuring that the goods-in/out area is suitably well stocked with the required consumables.

Responsibilities
- Keep the goods-in/out area organised, tidy, and running smoothly, including supporting 5S improvements and fixing layout or workflow issues.
- Handle all goods-in to the building, conducting inspections where required and ensuring they are delivered to the right person or department in a timely manner.
- Pack products according to the packing specification ensuring any relevant paperwork is updated to maintain good product traceability.
- Support the development of new packing specifications and pack parts without a specification appropriately to ensure they make it to their destination without damage.
- Arrange shipments, including preparing necessary paperwork, delivery notes and labelling.
- Monitor and maintain the inventory in the goods-out area ensuring continuous available stock of appropriate packing materials.
- Communicate the status of shipments effectively with stakeholders at all levels across operations and engineering.
- Oversee forklift maintenance with the leasing company, arrange repairs, and maintain daily check systems for all trained drivers.
- Manage collection of waste from the facility following established procedures.
- Maintain good health and safety standards in the goods-in/out area and challenge unsafe working practices.

Essential Skills
- Experience in a logistics or warehousing role.
- Experience using an ERP solution for Goods-in process.
- Valid forklift truck licence.
- Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Willingness to support Engineering and Operations staff to achieve their logistical requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in logistics operations.
