Stores / Logistics Operator
Location: Witham, Essex Salary: Competitive + 10% shift allowance and fantastic benefits Hours: 37.5 per week
Shift Pattern: 6am–1pm, 1pm–8pm (weekly rotations)
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Stores / Logistics Operator to support our laboratory operations. This key role ensures samples, stock, and materials are efficiently managed and delivered across the site, maintaining smooth workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and transfer deliveries (chemicals, consumables) into the main stores
- Move samples, glassware, and materials between laboratories
- Handle waste management processes, including weighing, labelling, and storage
- Process stock movements (IN/OUT) and maintain accurate stock records
- Conduct regular stock checks
- Assist with loading/unloading deliveries
- Forklift use (training provided)
- Support logistics activities, including use of the company van

Requirements and Qualifications
We’re looking for the following attributes:
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Basic IT and numeracy skills
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
- Physically fit and flexible, available to work including weekends when required
- Forklift licence is desirable (training available if needed)
