Logistics & Shipping Co-Ordinator

Location: Brighouse, West Yorkshire
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 depending on experience

About the Role

GA Valves is looking for a Logistics Co-Ordinator to take ownership of our shipping and logistics function.
This is a standalone role responsible for coordinating UK and international shipments, managing freight partners, preparing shipping documentation and ensuring our customers receive the high level of service we're known for.
You'll work closely with customers, suppliers, freight forwarders and internal teams to ensure orders are delivered accurately, efficiently and on time.
We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and comfortable taking responsibility for getting things done.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate UK and international shipments from supplier through to customer delivery.
  • Arrange transport with carriers and freight forwarders.
  • Prepare shipping and export documentation.
  • Track shipments and provide updates to customers and colleagues.
  • Resolve delivery issues and delays.
  • Work closely with warehouse and purchasing teams to ensure orders are dispatched on time.
  • Maintain accurate logistics records.
  • Monitor freight costs and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with customs and shipping requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in logistics, shipping or export coordination.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Confidence working independently and taking ownership.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience using ERP or CRM systems.
  • Experience within engineering, manufacturing or industrial sectors would be advantageous.

What We Offer

  • Salary of £28,000 – £32,000 depending on experience.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Free on-site parking.
  • Early finish every Friday.
    • Monday to Thursday: 08:30 – 17:00.
    • Friday: 08:30 – 15:00.
  • Company provided tea and coffee.
