# **Senior Logistics Officer – Worldwide Transport Planner**

## **Location**
This position may be based in our **Aberdeen (Westhill)** or **Zoetermeer** office.

## **About the Role**
Reports to the **Logistics Lead** in the **Logistics & Materials Management (L&MM)** function.

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the **worldwide transport of cargo and equipment**:
- Prepares **import/export documentation** and liaises with **Logistics Services Providers (LSPs)**
- Works closely with **LSPs** to optimize transportation logistics
- Acts as the **L&MM lead** for assigned projects
- Promotes cross-departmental collaboration, engaging with **Project Operations**, **Offshore Resources**, and other stakeholders
- Leads, organizes, and provides guidance on logistics functions for assigned projects

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport Coordination: Plan, arrange, and oversee the shipping of cargo and equipment per the L&MM RACI framework
  • Shipment Monitoring: Track shipments to ensure timely delivery
  • Stakeholder Support: Address L&MM-related questions professionally and in a timely manner
  • Documentation: Prepare and review import/export documentation in line with destination-specific requirements
  • Customs Coordination: Work with Country Logistics to facilitate customs clearance and meet legal obligations
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify logistics challenges and propose solutions
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to company standards and procedures
  • Team Collaboration: Foster operational efficiency and interdepartmental teamwork
  • Supplier/Client Relations: Build and sustain relationships with internal customers, suppliers, and external LSPs
  • Flexibility: Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Logistics Lead or L&MM function

Experience & Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in:
    • Logistics
    • Supply Chain Management
    • Business Administration
    • Engineering

Experience & Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced, project-focused logistics environment
  • Knowledge of:
    • Local/international transport regulations
    • Customs procedures
    • Import/export rules
    • Transport documentation
    • Dangerous goods safety standards
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize dynamically, and respond quickly to client/business needs
  • Proactive, resourceful problem-solving approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (exposure to SAP/Ariba is advantageous)
  • Willingness to travel and work abroad as required
