Description
The Logistics Team Leader has the responsibility to motivate employees, encourage high performance and maintain job satisfaction within the department. You will lead and inspire your team to maximise the flow of boxes throughout the departments and maintain minimal queues across all of the various areas Logistics cover. You will liaise with the other Logistics Team Leaders to set, manage and achieve departmental KPIs, whilst ensuring an efficient and cooperative working environment.
The Logistics Team Leader works in accordance with the principles and values of Vintage Cash Cow, embracing the changing nature of the job as the company expands and develops.
This is to cover the late shift, working hours 3pm - 10pm Monday - Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management of team members. Encouraging the team and driving a high-performance team aware of targets with an understanding of the implications of missing these. (Service Level and Quality Performance)
- Leads by example, delivering personal high performance, demonstrating what is achievable to the team.
- Regular 121s with each team member to keep track of performance improvement.
- Attend Daily Team Leader meeting, reporting relevant information and data as well as contributing to decision making process
- Works collaboratively with other team leaders on training, assessments, and achieving collective targets.
- Assists with the recruitment process, screening applicants, conducting the interview process for potential candidates, offering feedback and deciding on outcomes.
- Responsible for the training and development of new team members.
- Drive reward and recognition within the team.
- Receives sickness calls and conducts return to work interviews.
- Proactively support members of the team who would like to develop their skills and experience.
- Responsible for the well-being of team members, creating a positive and productive working environment.
- Be a Team player - support other team members and leaders in the business by sharing resources, knowledge and experience.
- Ensure no favouritism across the team and all are treated fairly and equally.
- Completes additional tasks as requested by management.
