Logistics Yard Operative
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and friendly operator to join our team at Isleport in this newly created on-site role.
In this position, you will be an integral part of a small team within Logistics at our Isleport Distribution site in Highbridge. You will ensure that:
- The yard area remains safe and operational
- Routine and ad-hoc tasks are completed to uphold the highest standards of:
- Product quality
- Health and safety
- Customer service for internal and external stakeholders
You will work closely with other departments to help achieve core company goals.
This is a Monday to Friday position, working 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Daily, effective, and safe operation of forklifts to:
- Load/unload vehicles
- Move pallets, equipment, and objects around the site
- Regular driving of company vehicles for the manual loading/unloading of materials and delivery between:
- The Distribution site
- Production sites
- Other locations
- Ensuring proper upkeep of all:
- Equipment
- Company vehicles, through:
- Effective cleaning
- Audits
- Basic maintenance tasks
- Rectifying basic faults and escalating where necessary
- Ability to undertake manual tasks
- Effective communication with colleagues and stakeholders
- Excellent time management

Requirements
Essential:
- Relevant work experience in a Distribution or Production environment
- Full UK Driving License
- Forklift License
