Guardian Angel Carers
Guardian Angel Carers have proudly served our community with compassion, trust and dignity for 15 years. As part of exciting plans for continued growth into 2026, we are looking for caring, thoughtful and dedicated Loneliness Companions to join our exceptional team of Healthcare Professionals in and around Chichester and the surrounding areas.
Location & Travel Our clients live between Emsworth & Bognor Regis, so travel will be required. Therefore, a Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own car is essential.
Pay Rates
- £16.00 per hour (Monday to Friday)
- £17.25 per hour (Weekends)
- 45p per business mile
Available Hours
- Full-Time & Part-Time options available (minimum of alternate weekends required).
- Evening-only shifts (5pm – 10pm) also available.
Entry Requirements
No experience? No problem.
- No prior experience is required.
- Support provided for new entrants as Care Assistants or Carers.

Loneliness Companion Role Summary
As a Loneliness Companion, you will provide support to clients who value companionship in their own homes. Your duties may include:
- Social visits
- Companionship (building meaningful interactions)
- Meal preparation (nutritious and enjoyable homemade meals)
- Medication Management (where applicable)
- Supporting with Pharmacy & Shopping trips
- Personal care assistance (light housekeeping, mobility support, etc.)
Qualities We’d Love to See:
- A cheerful presence and a warm smile
- Proven ability to brighten someone’s day
- A strong sense of humour
- Exceptional ability to make a great cup of tea (a must!)
- Compassionate, empathetic nature
Requirements for the Role
- Full UK Driving Licence & own transport
- No direct experience necessary (we train new starters)
