Job Description

The Renewables team handles claims ranging from minor damage to catastrophic events both onshore and offshore. As a Technical Adjuster you’ll be assigned to a Senior Adjuster handling cases requiring your specific expertise. The role is predominantly office based (with up to 2 days p/wk from home) with travel to sites as required and potentially overnight stays depending upon location.

The team is predominantly based in the London hub with access to other Crawford Adjusters around the world as and when required. You will be the blade expert that other offices and adjusters defer to.

You will report to the UK Head of Renewables (on a daily basis) and the Global Head of Renewables for international business.

Responsibilities

You’ll support our Adjusters as a Technical go-to, in progressing a caseload of Renewables claims, although we expect mainly wind/blade based claims from lightning strikes to catastrophic failures to transit damage or manufacturing defects. These can vary in complexity so it’s essential that you have a deep understanding of your field and can relate to the points of view of the Insured, O&M and Insurers.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You’ll also be liaising with colleagues within different business areas, such as CFAS, Engineering, Environmental and Marine depending upon the nature of the claim, so attention to detail is essential to ensure each step of the claims process is as thorough as possible, collating and analysing all necessary information as required.

You’ll need to remove hurdles in the process if required, ensuring you get to the root cause of issues, take responsibility to resolve problems and understand nuances and details and be able to explain it all in layman’s terms.
