Job Description

The Lounge Supervisor at Heathrow Airport will focus on the Front of House operation whilst the Lounge is open and liaise with the kitchen to ensure all the required standards are met at all times. They will also support all management areas of the operations too when required. Also, the Lounge Supervisor will be expected to be part of the FB service delivery and attend to passengers as part of the attendant team.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the rostering for all catering staff (including kitchen staff)
  • Managing time sheets/payroll management
  • Ordering of food and drinks and sundries through Do & Co ordering system
  • Liaising with the Lounge Manager and Supervisors
  • Liaising with laundry regarding Lounge linen
  • Ordering cleaning supplies
  • Performance management and training of all staff
  • Investigating customer complaints
  • Completing daily audits and maintaining stock control
  • Ensuring food temperature is adhered to as per H &S regulations

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Supervisor in hospitality industry
  • Ability to lead and motivate staff, delegate tasks effectively, and manage team dynamics
  • Strong focus on providing excellent service to guests, addressing their needs, and resolving complaints
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff, management, and guests
  • Ability to quickly identify issues and develop solutions to enhance operations and guest experiences
  • Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks, schedules, and priorities efficiently
  • Keen eye for detail to ensure the lounge is clean, well-presented, and meets high hospitality standards
  • Skills to manage time efficiently, ensuring that service levels are maintained and that tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Understanding of budgeting, inventory control, and financial reporting to manage the lounge's profitability
  • Familiarity with menu offerings, beverage pairings, and food safety regulations
  • Ability to handle conflicts among staff or with guests diplomatically and effectively
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members, fostering a positive work environment
  • Skills in training new staff and providing ongoing development opportunities for team members
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing situations, guest needs, and operational demands
