About the Role
Specialty Systems Technicians are multi-skilled professionals responsible for:
- Ensuring efficient systems installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance across various technical disciplines
- Operating autonomously with minimal supervision to complete projects on time and safely
- Driving safety initiatives through toolbox talks, operational risk management meetings, and team collaboration

Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities include:
- Installation & Troubleshooting
- Manage voice and data networks, fiber optics, fire alarms, security systems, access control, CCTV, and nurse call systems
- Project & Task Analysis
- Effectively interpret blueprints and assess site requirements
- Anticipate equipment, procedural, and training needs
- Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to company safety policies, OSHA standards, and customer-specific safety protocols
- Customer Relations & Problem-Solving
- Provide superb service through proactive problem-solving techniques
- Mentorship & Training
- Mentor Helpers/Apprentices to guide professional growth on-site
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Completion of an Electronic Systems Technician (EST) Apprenticeship Program (if applicable) or equivalents
- Certifications: Must hold BICSI or NICET Certification
- Language Skills:
- Full verbal and written proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Travel:
- Approx. 5–10% travel frequency
- Work Schedule:
- Core hours: 6 AM–6 PM, Monday–Friday
- May extend to nights, weekends, and holidays depending on client demand
