LPG Engineer
Engineer - Entry-Level Role

About the Role
Flogas provides solutions for homes and businesses from Drivers to Technicians, Customer Experience experts to Site Managers, and engineering professionals. As an Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in bringing LPG to life at customer sites.
Reporting to the Consumer Engineering Manager (according to Lead Technician oversight), your responsibilities will include installing and maintaining LPG equipment while ensuring seamless operations for our customers. You’ll join one of our experienced LPG engineers and gain hands-on training at a dedicated LPG centre. Day-to-day work will cover routine maintenance, inspections, and installations—from LPG vessels to pipework, along with testing, purging, commissioning, and certifying equipment.
Your projects will require a robust approach, and you’ll need to be comfortable with manual handling tasks, reading installation plans, and interpreting technical drawings. With an acknowledged shift towards renewable energy, this role offers fantastic job security and opportunities to contribute to innovative eco-focused transitions, helping to switch customers from oil to gas, explore heat pumps, and develop renewable technologies.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections at customer premises and Flogas LPG sites.
- Perform onsite installations of LPG vessels, pipework, auxiliary equipment, and associated systems.
- Execute full testing, purging, and commissioning of equipment, then issue required certifications.
- Handle heavy manual tasks (training provided for physical demands).
- Read and interpret LPG installation drawings and plans.
Expectations & Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a current UK category B driving licence (light vehicle up to 3.5 tonnes).
- Demonstrate reliability by meeting deadlines and being willing to work overtime as needed.
- Be prepared for routinely traveling Monday–Friday, away from home.
- Profile solid verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to influence teams.
- Showcase ability to work independently and collaboratively within the team.
- Self-motivated with the drive to expand sector expertise.
- Hold a current ACS Certification (covering Regulators, Meters, and Vessels).
- Possess an active CSCS card.
