Lunch Cover Hours Practitioner

Nursery – Bright Horizons Bracknell Day Nursery and Pre School

Position: Early Years Practitioner (Lunch Cover)

  • Salary: £12.99–£15.88 per hour (varies based on qualifications and experience)
  • Location: Wokingham Road, Bracknell
  • Hours: 9:30am–2:30pm (5 days per week, subject to terms and conditions)

The Role

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will:

  • Plan, design, implement, and reflect on engaging, child-centred activities tailored to individual milestones.
  • Create a safe, nurturing environment that encourages expression, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. -Support children’s development through creativity and exploration.

This part-time role offers flexibility within our Bracknell nursery, focusing on midday coverage for young children.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate to create developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
  • Foster inclusion, ensuring all children feel valued and heard.
  • Work closely with parents/carers to build trusting partnerships.
  • Adhere to safeguarding and child protection regulations strictly.
  • Uphold the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Requirements

  • Must hold a full, relevant Level 3 qualification (or above) in Early Years.
  • Passion for fun, inclusive learning and supporting young children’s growth.
  • Thorough knowledge of EYFS standards and its application. -bullet Strong commitment to safeguarding and child protection (mandatory). -bullet Ability to build rapport with families, peers, and children.
  • Enhanced DBS check required.
