LUNCH TIME SUPERVISOR VACANCY

1 Permanent Position and 1 Fixed Term Position

We are looking to recruit 2 Lunch Time Supervisors (1 Permanent and 1 Fixed Term) to join our lunchtime team at The Federation of Abbey Infant and Junior School.

We are looking for:

  • An enthusiastic and dedicated person who will encourage and engage with the children during lunchtime.
  • Applicants who have the patience to work with young children.
  • Willingness to organise games and activities in line with the school’s policy for enrichment activities.
  • Applicants who are able to work as part of team, forming positive relationships with adults and pupils.
  • Supervising of children before and after their lunch and playground duty.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak, read and write fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.

Job Details

  • Hours: 7.08 hours per week (Standard Term Time Only) (11.45am – 1.10pm)
  • Grade: Band B, SCP 4 £25,185 pro rata (£13.05 per hour) (actual £4,207 per annum) (Plus a living wage supplement to £13.45 per hour payable from 1st April 2026)
  • Location: The Federation of Abbey Infant and Junior School, Maurice Road, Smethwick, West Midlands, B67 5LR & Barclay Road, Smethwick, West Midlands, B67 5LT
  • Contract: 1x Fixed Term Position (Ending 21st July 2027), 1x Permanent Position
