Job Description

Role Overview

The successful candidate will support the Milton team to supervise and support pupils during lunchtime both in the dinner centre and on the playground. We are seeking someone who can engage well with all ages of children, promote and set up outdoor play time activities and keep all children safe through following policies and procedures.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

Core Duties and responsibilities:

  • Supervising activities and maintaining health, safety, welfare, good conduct and safeguarding of pupils during midday break, having regard to special or additional needs.
  • Reporting incidents in line with academy policy
  • Assisting in the supervision of other activities during the midday break, including setting out and storing equipment
  • Encouraging pupils to select and eat healthy balanced meals
  • Cleaning up spillages of food or liquid during meal service
  • Wiping down tables and clean dining areas between meals
  • Undertaking similar work at other times, such as before and after school
  • Any other duties appropriate to the post.

General

  • Contribute to the overall ethos/aims of the academy
  • Participate in training, other learning activities and performance development as required.
  • Attend and participate in relevant meetings as required.
  • The post holder is required to be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, equal opportunities, health and safety, security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to the appropriate person.
  • The post holder has a responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and vulnerable adults during the course of their work. This post requires the post holder to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
