About The Role
Salary: £30,024 - £32,597 a year Hours per week: 37 Contract type: Permanent
In this role, you’ll be working with both computerised and manual systems to ensure assessments run smoothly and accurately. Your responsibilities will include:
- Gathering and verifying information
- Updating records
- Preparing reports
You’ll act as the first point of contact for customers, providing assistance through:
- Answering queries
- Offering clear advice
- Supporting financial assessment processes
Close collaboration with systems like Capita, Workflow 360, and Housing Systems ensures we deliver an efficient, fair, and responsive service. Additionally, you will team up with other departments to maintain seamless information sharing and problem-solving. This role is ideal if you thrive on detailed work with measurable impact on people's lives.

About You
Required qualifications and experience:
- Proven background in financial assessment or similar office environments
- Skilled in navigating various administrative procedures
- Proficiency in handling numbers with precision (calculations, percentages, data verification)
Essential soft skills:
- Excellent communication abilities for customer and colleague interactions (in-person, phone, written)
- Commitment to delivering high-quality customer care
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to manage workloads efficiently and use data-driven decision-making

Preferred qualities:
- Familiarity with Welfare Benefits, Council Tax, and Housing Benefit systems
