Luxury MICE Sales Manager

Luxury MICE Sales Manager – The Municipal Hotel & Spa MGallery

About the Role: Driving Revenue & Excellence in MICE Hospitality

We opened the first 5-star hotel in Liverpool, The Municipal Hotel & Spa MGallery, in May 2023, reimagining this historic landmark as a beacon of unforgettable stories. Our team of Heartists® is dedicated to curating timeless, heartfelt moments where guests immerse themselves in opulence and nostalgia—from luxury stays in 179 stunning bedrooms to refined dining, sophisticated events, and a rejuvenating state-of-the-art spa sanctuary.

Now, we’re seeking a passionate and driven Luxury MICE Sales Manager to join our Commercial Team, reporting to the Commercial Director of Sales & Marketing. This pivotal role will shape how we maximise revenue across Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events (MICE), fostering lasting client relationships and aligning strategy with exceptional service.

revient from a legacy that pioneered hospitality—MGallery brings boutique elegance to iconic destinations. Your work here will transcend transactions, crafting magical moments that leave lasting impressions.

Your Impact: A Day in the Life of a MICE Sales Champion

If you thrive on relationship building, turning leads into high-profile deals, and creating unforgettable experiences—this role is yours. Here, you’ll not only drive growth but also ensure The Municipal Hotel & Spa stands as the perfect setting for luxury conferences, VIP gatherings, and bespoke events.

Key Responsibilities: How You’ll Drive Revenue and Relationships

📈 Driving MICE Revenue Growth

  • Crafting Winning Sales Strategies: Develop and execute targeted sales plans that acheive revenue goals and exceed budgets across MICE segments.

  • Proactively Broadcasting Our Venues: Position the hotel through outreach, networking, and demand-generation to attract high-profile clients.
  • Lucky Charts to Loyalty: Upgrade client retention by turning one-time events into repeat bookings through strategic partnerships with event planners and corporate bookings.

📋 Closing Deals & Translating Plans to Results

  • Convert enquiries, RFPs, and leads into confirmed bookings through compelling proposals, presentations, and bespoke negotiation strategies.
  • Maximise Revenue Upsells: Leverage room packages, F&B, exclusive dining, and premium services to boost profitability per event.
  • Leverage Compelling Data: Use sales insights to optimise performance, conversion rates, and pipeline health while providing leadership with actionable market intelligence.
  • Lead Team Collaboration: Work alongside Revenue Management, Operations, and Hospitality teams to refine pricing, event delivery, and service standards.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
