Job Summary

Powder Byrne is seeking an experienced Sales Specialist (Ski) to join the team. This is a multi-faceted role combining sales, business development, client experience and operational support.

As part of an exciting phase of growth, you will play a key role in supporting the opening and development of Powder Byrne’s new regional UK office in the Alderley Edge/Wilmslow area, Cheshire East. This presents a unique opportunity to help shape local operations, processes, supplier relationships and team culture while contributing to the continued growth of an established luxury travel brand.

You will be responsible for supporting a high-performing Sales team in designing and selling bespoke Powder Byrne holidays, ensuring seamless delivery of the Powder Byrne product, and helping establish the foundations for the company’s expanding UK presence.

The role requires close collaboration with internal teams in the UK, Switzerland and Japan, as well as external partners including hotels, destination management companies, ski schools and other local suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Development

  • Support new business generation and revenue growth
  • Accurately quote and sell bespoke ski and luxury travel holidays
  • Build strong relationships with prospective and existing clients
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales conversion and client retention
  • Represent Powder Byrne through sales trips, networking events and industry functions
  • Act as a brand ambassador in the luxury travel market

Regional Office Development

  • Support the establishment and ongoing development of Powder Byrne’s new regional office in Alderley Edge
  • Assist with office operations, supplier engagement and local partnership development
  • Help implement systems, workflows and best practices to support business growth
  • Build relationships with clients, suppliers and industry contacts across the North of England
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and training activities as the regional team expands
  • Work closely with Directors and senior leadership to identify opportunities for regional growth and market expansion

Sales Systems & Operational Excellence

  • Play a key role in the continued rollout and optimisation of Powder Byrne’s bespoke internal Sales system
  • Support improvements in quoting, inventory management, booking workflows and sales reporting
  • Assist with data loading, AI integration and onboarding colleagues onto internal systems
  • Contribute to internal projects and future commercialisation initiatives

Supplier & Partner Relationships

  • Build excellent supplier relationships, including hotels, transport providers, ski schools and destination partners
  • Support Directors with partner negotiations and contracting activities across Switzerland and Europe
  • Help maintain Powder Byrne’s reputation for exceptional service delivery and operational excellence

Client Experience & Delivery

  • Support Client Concierge and Delivery teams in maintaining the highest service standards
  • Ensure smooth execution of client bookings, ground arrangements and travel experiences
  • Work with operational teams to deliver exceptional client satisfaction and repeat business
  • Assist with staffing planning and seasonal operational requirements where required

Collaboration

  • Work closely with Powder Byrne teams across the UK, Europe and Japan
  • Align with senior leadership on business strategy, growth initiatives and commercial objectives
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team culture across all departments

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience in luxury travel, tourism, hospitality or a related sector
  • Experience designing and delivering tailor-made travel itineraries
  • Strong business development and commercial awareness
  • Proven ability to build long-term client and supplier relationships
  • Confident skier
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Childcare experience would be beneficial due to our family-focused client base

Language Requirements

  • Fluent English (spoken and written)
  • Additional languages, particularly German, would be advantageous
