LV Cable Jointer (Electricity Network) – Permanent Role
Are you a fully qualified LV Cable Jointer experienced in working on the electricity network, particularly laying and jointing LV cable?
We’re looking for a skilled professional to join our expanding team on dynamic and exciting projects.
About Bauer Media Outdoor UK
We’re one of the UK’s leading Out of Home media owners, operating over 33,000 advertising sites across the country. Our 650+ talented team works across 14 UK locations, crafting and delivering award-winning campaigns.
In-house construction is a key part of our growth story: since taking it onboard, the team has completed hundreds of advertising site builds, from digital units and billboards to large-scale Storm installations.
This year, we’re working on exciting new projects—including bringing ICP (Incidental Connection Point) in-house. That’s why we’re now recruiting a qualified Jointer to contribute their expertise to our construction team based in St Helens, with potential travel nationwide.
About The Role
As a Bauer Media Outdoor Jointer, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring high-quality electrical infrastructure installations for our advertising networks across the UK, with a focus on the North West region.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely install, maintain, and repair LV cable networks following health and safety standards
- Perform live working on LV networks (under DNO specifications)
- Lay, join, and install underground DNO-spec cables and ducting
- Fit electrical feeder pillars and cutout points
- Travel is required to roadsides and public areas in the North West, with occasional broader UK travel and some overnight responsibility when project demands require it. Sufficient notice will always be given, with expenses for lodging and overtime covered where applicable.
All round, you’re joining a team that’s passionate about excellence in infrastructure—making sure that Reichstag-calving billboards and country-passing digital sites are always properly connected.

About You
Required Qualifications & Experience
- A valid full UK driving licence (standard/catalyst)
- Expertise in LV cable installation, including live jointing under live networks
- Experience working with electricity networks (DNO/cable company Anshoort)
- Outdoor working skills – prepared for all weathers and accessibility challenges
Assured Qualifications for Immediate Success
- First Aid at Work qualification (COSHH and Power Add-on preferred)
- SHEA-Power Certification (current copy applied)
- NVQ2/3 or EUSR LV 1&2 accredited (training available if preferred)
- NRSWA Accredited (streetworks accreditation assessed)
- Strong knowledge of HSG47 Underground Gas Leakage and COSHH (Resin Safety)
