Senior Landscape Planning Specialist (LVIA) & Landscape Architect Roles
We are looking for experienced and capable landscape planning professionals to join our growing Place team as Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) specialists.
We currently have fantastic opportunities available across a range of surgical levels and areas of expertise, including:
- Renewable energy projects (onshore/offshore)
- Urban and townscape planning
- Rural visual impacts
- Mixed-use and urban redevelopment schemes
- Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects
- Strategic housing development and promotion

The Role
Your responsibilities will vary depending on experience and seniority, but you’ll contribute to a wide variety of fascinating projects while developing your skills. Duties may include:
- Landscape, visual, and planning assessments for new developments
- Iterative design reviews that inform and enhance development proposals
- Creative input in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams (architecture, masterplanning, urban design, etc.)
- Project management for senior LVIA specialist roles
- Reporting and stakeholder communication

You'll work closely within the Landscape, Design and Assessment Team, a dynamic group of professionals specialising in:
- Landscape Architecture
- Masterplanning & Urban Design
- Landscape Planning & Architecture
Our team shapes and influences SLR Consulting through integrated design principles, working alongside colleagues in transport, ecology, engineering, hydrology, and natural capital to tackle landmark environmental and urban challenges.

About You
This position focuses on Landscape Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA), though we welcome applications from:

- Senior LVIA Specialists with project management experience (flexible working may be office/department-based)
- Landscape Architects eager to develop a career in visual impact assessments, who will receive on-the-job training and mentorship
Essential Requirements:
- Strong analytical and design skills with robust report-writing ability
- Fluency in English (written and verbal)
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK
- Full UK driving licence
Recommended Skills:
- Experience in mixed-use, urban, and/or infrastructure project delivery
- Ability to work collaboratively with planners, developers, and technical experts
